- Thursday, 10.27 @ 7:30pm Please prepare a scene of your choice that you feel best represents your “type”. Sides should be from a television series (past or present) and be no longer than 3 pages in length. Please make sure to bring a highlighted READER copy of the sides to class.

There are four scenarios that are frequently used in television casting for evaluating talent: prereads or on-tape sessions with casting, live producer sessions, chemistry read sessions, and general meetings. Each week, students will take turns working on scenes in one of these audition formats (not every student will work every week). Topics that will be discussed over the 4-week class include: headshots/resumes, audition prep (script and project analysis), training, getting control of your nerves, camera tips, audition etiquette and understanding the role of the casting director. All classes will take place in a group format, so that actors will learn not just from Kendra, but from each other.
