Promos Workshop with Dave Walsh!
Dave Walsh is one of those rare Hollywood hyphenates who has enjoyed a truly multi-faceted career on both sides of the glass, as successful coach, artist and studio executive.
Dave has been a preeminent voiceover talent, director and coach in the creative branding business for over 20 years. His years as a studio executive at CBS/Paramount Television and owner of his own media consulting agency, Walsh Media, has made Dave well-versed in the multi-platform framework of entertainment branding. Walsh was a marketing force behind some of the most established franchises in television history.
These diverse yet powerfully synchronistic career paths merged several years ago forming the cornerstone of Walsh’s trademark, powerful vocal coaching and directing technique called The TrueTell ™. Dovetailing his offbeat, quirky passion for identifying and branding the true value of voices with his recognition of the global hunger for authenticity in both communication and behavior, Dave Walsh’s TrueTell ™ Method has proven to be a unique and effective tool in building greater individual professional and personal confidence, better performance and overall success.
Format Note: Dave will begin with an intro and then assign cold reads. Each actor will work, and be provided recording/redirects/feedback.
Sides Note: Please do not prepare sides/copy for this workshop. Dave will provide copy for cold reading. During each of the cold reads, he will direct and offer tips on how to best approach Promo copy for auditions.
