ONLINE Animation Class w/ Julie Nathanson!
A celebrated voice actress for 20+ years, Julie Nathanson has brought to life many beloved video game characters, notably “Samantha Maxis” in Call of Duty: Black Ops, “Aera” in Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ardyn, “Jess Black” in Far Cry 5, “Field Agent Rio” in Fortnite, “Chill” in Skylanders, “Chocolina” in Final Fantasy 13-2 and Lightning Returns, and “Lampita” in Psychonauts. In the animation world, she is well-known for her performances as “Fara” in Great Pretender on Netflix, “Crimson Wisdow” in Marvel’s Avengers on Disney XD, “Afina the Glitter Genie” on Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine, “Silver Banshee” in the WB/DC film Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, and “Scarlett Turner” on Disney’s Elena of Avalor. She also holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
Our new ACE VO online Zoom workshop format will be:
- Before the workshop, Sara will pass along scripts/sides for the participants
- You will record yourself voicing the side, and email Sara your mp3 file(s) (The deadline for emailing Sara your mp3, will typically be 5pm two days before the workshop. If you are a late sign-up, you can send in later and will work that out with Sara :)
- Sara will pass along your audio files to the guest director who will review your mp3s before the workshop
- In the workshop, our guest director will give notes on the audio files, both on performance and home audio quality, re-directs if they so choose, and engage in a Q&A
