Rachel Reiss CSA is a casting director for Liz Lewis Casting Partners where she casts Film, TV, Commercials, Animation, Podcasts and VO nationwide. She has cast hundreds of commercials and voice-overs, including many that have been recognized with Clio Awards and Cannes Lion Awards. Rachel was honored as the 2019 Heller Awards Recipient for Best Northeast Commercial and VO Casting along with her colleague Angela Mickey. And she is a nominee for the same category in the upcoming 2022 awards. She has also cast podcasts for top podcast companies, both in the scripted and talk format. Rachel serves on the National Board of Directors for the Casting Society of America as the VP of Technology. Rachel teaches at NYU, SAG Foundation, and other educational establishments. She is a graduate of Boston University.
Podcast Intensive with RACHEL REISS
In this podcast intensive, Rachel will discuss the world of podcasts and how best to approach the script pulling from your past skillset in other acting mediums. We will practice together, play with direction, and make sure all questions are addressed.
- Class intros - we all get to know one another. What brings us into the world of podcasts and what we all want to learn
- Discussion about the different kinds of podcasts. And how to use skills from other mediums for a podcast audition.
- Talent will be given sides to do cold reads and then adjust with direction.
