Danny's Lesson Plan For All Workshops:
In his words: Would love if people prepped questions ahead of time--can be about me, my background to any questions they have regarding the casting landscape. I like to get to know people through their work and would love the majority of the time spent working on scenes. In that regard, I will take notes as I watch the scenes - will give adjustments/ ask questions and work on moments of the scene with the actors to help give them a fuller understanding while encouraging the moments that are landing.
I'd like to wrap up with another Q&A where actors can address anything that may have come up for them while watching others' work or within the work themselves. I often say, a note that I have for one person can actually end up resonating more with someone else and their work - and I am happy to discuss those discoveries and unpack them at the end of class.
---------------
Goal of class: The actor walks away feeling inspired with a clearer understanding of not only their own work and themselves, but seeing their colleagues shift and grow as well.
Notes about scenes: He is interested in what people choose for themselves to work on and he can discuss that as well. If an actor always gets cast as a lawyer or court room material, don't do a scene like that. The scene should be in their wheelhouse, but also challenging at the same time - something worth working on in a classroom setting with the intention of growing as an artist.
