After the Q&A, the class will follow this format:
Actors will be split into small groups (5 actors per group).
SMALL GROUP SESSIONS:
- Each actor will read their prepared scene with Kendra in a mock audition. This reading will be taped, and performed with the rest of the actors watching. No redirection or notes will be given.
- Once all actors have read, we will go back and watch the readings on tape. At this time Kendra will give notes and feedback on what she sees- focusing on technical notes associated with “on tape” readings.
- After watching all tapes, we will discuss the difference between doing the live reading and what they saw on tape. Actors will have an opportunity to ask any follow up questions.
Sides Note: You must select sides from Kendra’s folder on Script Clips for this class. Sides should be no longer than 3 pages.
Format Note: Small Groups. All actors must be present at the start of class for the lecture, or they will not be allowed to participate in the small groups. Once your small group has finished, actors are free to leave.
