Tom is a director with roots in theater, film, animation, and games. In NY, he was an actor, performance artist, and postmodern choreographer. He has appeared Off-Broadway, and at theaters and performance spaces throughout the U.S. and Europe. After moving to LA, Tom worked in TV development for a number of animation houses, including Hanna-Barbera and Universal Cartoon Studios. As a writer/director, he has won numerous awards, including several Dramalogue Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Theatre and a Bay Area Critics Circle Nomination for Best Original Theatrical Presentation. His award-winning documentary films continue to play internationally and he also produces for film, television, and commercials.
Tom started working in games in 1998, and became the Talent Director/Creative Affairs at Vivendi Universal Games. As an independent talent director for games, he has worked on MAJOR franchises such as: Call of Duty, Need for Speed, and The Mummy. He also directed all talent and performance capture for Starbreeze's The Darkness, Battlefield 3 and 4, and Dead Rising 3.
With performance capture, Tom collaborates with the production team and actors, using his experience in script development, directing, and movement to get performances that add value and distinction to video games.
