Jay Schachter and Peter Novick are agents at Mavrick Artists Agency!
Jay Schachter was a manger for eight years in Los Angeles, focusing on not only on Film and Television, but Standup Comedy as well. He started the talent division at the notable National Lampoon and then became an Agent four years ago at Mavrick Artists Agency. He is nominated for a second TMA Heller Award this year for Best Adult Theatrical Agent. On the weekends he likes to Shark Dive, Bungee Jump and volunteer at Cat Shelter's.
Peter Novick is a commercial agent at Mavrick. A native New Yorker, Peter moved to LA in 1998 and started his agency career in 1999 at Abrams Artists Agency where he stayed through 2007. After 2 years back in NY, he returned to LA in 2010 where he reconnected with his former Abrams colleague Brad Diffley who is co-owner of Mavrick. Peter scouts talent for the entire agency, but his main focus remains on adults 18 and over for TV commercials.
